Students who are subject to the compulsory foreign language preparatory class and can prove that they meet the following qualifications are exempt from the compulsory preparatory education without taking the proficiency exam if they apply to the School of Foreign Languages before taking the foreign language proficiency exam:
a) Those who, for at least the last three years, have studied in a country where English is the native language and completed their secondary education at a secondary school attended by citizens of that country.
b) Those who have achieved a minimum score of 70 out of 100 on central foreign language exams recognized by the Council of Higher Education, or those who have achieved an equivalent score on international foreign language exams recognized by the Council of Higher Education.
